JB Schiller is an associate in Goodwin’s Business Law department and a member of the firm’s Strategic Technology Transactions and Licensing and Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity practices. He counsels clients with respect to a broad array of intellectual property and privacy matters in connection with their day to day business operations, venture financings, private equity, and M&A transactions.
Prior to joining Goodwin, he was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP where he focused on high-tech litigation.
Professional Experience
JB’s expertise spans a broad array of industries, including SaaS and cloud computing, computer software and hardware, artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies, integrated circuits, gaming, advertising, e-commerce, and music/entertainment. Prior to joining Goodwin, JB was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, with a primary focus on high-tech litigation. JB represented clients in a wide range of intellectual property areas, including software, digital and analog hardware, wireless and network technologies, as well as standardized technology and RAND claims.
During law school, JB served as an extern to the Honorable Jeffrey White of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Prior to law school, he played on the professional tennis circuit for two years.
