The Goodwin Paris Private Investment Funds team advised EMZ Partners, a leading European investment firm specialized in upper-mid cap flex equity, on their tenth fund, EMZ 10, with €1.4 billion of commitments.
EMZ 10 benefited from a major re-up of existing investors but also from the participation of new investors in particular from the DACH region.
The fund executes the same strategy as EMZ Partners’ previous funds, focusing on sponsorless transactions. Investment tickets will range from 10 to 150 million euros.
EMZ 10 has already made several investments in various companies such as Fovea, Advancy, Positive, Almerys, Yuri & Neil, Aspire Education Group and Imes-Icore.
The Goodwin team was led by Arnaud David and included Galien Devillers, Hadrien Paté and Khalilou Gneny (fund formation), Marie-Laure Bruneel, Paul Fournière (tax), Adrien Paturaud, Benjamin Filiatre (finance), Robert Kester (U.S. tax), Matt Giles (U.S. Regulatory) and Patrick S. Menasco (ERISA).
