Marie-Laure Bruneel is a partner in Goodwin’s Tax Practice.
She focuses on tax matters that arise from the structuring and financing of investments, M&A transactions, leveraged buyouts, restructurings and joint ventures.
Marie-Laure also has particular expertise in structuring private equity and real estate investment funds.
Prior to joining Goodwin in 2017, Marie-Laure was a partner at De Pardieu Brocas Maffei, and previously practiced at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Private Equity/Corporate transactions
- Carvest, Credit Mutuel Equity and the founders & the management of ABF Décisions, a consultant for SMEs to develop territorial projects supported by public funding for innovation, in the sale of a majority stake in the group to Warrant Hub (Tinexta).
- CTH Invest, family office linked to Ferrero, in the acquisition of Michel et Augustin, a distributor of specialized food intended to serve the gourmet food sectors.
- Eurazeo in the sale and reinvestment, alongside Towerbrook Capital Partners, in EFESO Management Consultants, a leading international pure player consulting group in industrial operations strategy and performance improvement.
- Les Domaines de Fontenille, a luxury hotel group, on the acquisition of a minority stake of the group by LVMH.
- Lion Capital in the sale of its majority stake in the Picard Group, a French company specializing in the retail sale of frozen food products, to Group Zouari.
- The management team of Evoriel, Nexity’s residential property management services business, in the sale of the group to Bridgepoint.
- Safi Biotherapeutics, an early stage biotech company, in the acquisition of EryPharm, a French biotech start-up company dedicated to the development and the operation of a large-scale process for the production of red blood cells from stem cells.
Fund formation
- BEX Capital in the fundraising of BEX Fund V for a total amount of $765 million.
- Committed Advisors on the final closing of its fifth secondary fund, Committed Advisor Secondary Fund V, with €2,6 billion of total commitments.
- Latour Capital on the fundraising of its fourth generation of funds for a total amount of €1,2 billion.
