Tessa Agar Named a Private Equity Rising Star by Law.com International

Goodwin partner Tessa Agar has been named to Law.com International’s 2022 list of Private Equity Rising Stars: Europe's Best Up-and-Coming Lawyers. This year’s honorees represent 25 of the premiere young private equity lawyers across the UK and Europe.

Agar is a Private Equity partner in Goodwin’s London office, where she advises on all aspects of corporate law, with a particular focus on mid-market private equity transactions, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and growth equity and venture capital investments. She also advises clients across a variety of industries, including technology, software, healthcare, telecommunications, financial services, food, and consumer products.

Law.com International noted Agar’s continued representation of private equity clients such as Accel-KKR and Mayfair Equity Partners. In particular, she was recently a key member of the Goodwin team advising Mayfair on its investment in Tangle Teezer, which valued the company at over £70 million.

The publication also highlighted Agar’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, as she is part of the UK leadership for Women@Goodwin, and serves as a trainee supervisor and volunteer mentor to women across the London office.

This selection of this year’s Private Equity Rising Stars was based on a variety of criteria, including: the quality of their client base; the scale, significance, and complexity of their deals; their client feedback and general market reputation; the standing of their mentor; and other examples of career success and innovation.
