AI Valuations ‘Miles Ahead of’ Regular Tech, Says Goodwin Panel; Spring Statement Gives ‘Greater Confidence’ to Defense Investors (PE HUB)

Insights from a panel of partners from Goodwin’s London practices kicked things off. The panel discussed trends shaping 2025 while artificial intelligence took center stage in the discussion, and the panel unanimously agreed it is a frequent topic amongst their clients. Valuations around true AI assets are “miles ahead of” regular tech, according to Gretchen Scott, partner. “Everyone wants a piece of that,” she added. In life sciences, concerns around confidentiality and patient data have slowed down AI implementation, according to partner Maria Dragun. In the future, Dragun said she can see AI having a “huge role,” particularly in development and patient enrolment. Alexandra Carter, partner, said that secondaries are “here to stay,” due to GPs’ unwillingness to let go of their star assets.
