Alexandra Carter is a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group. Alex‘s practice focuses on the structuring, marketing and fundraising of mid-market and large private investment funds, together with advising on related fund management issues, co-investment deals, carried interest/co-investment and other incentivisation arrangements, team reorganisations and spin-outs. She has experience across asset classes, with particular expertise in infrastructure and private equity.
Alex has completed a four-month secondment with GreenOak Real Estate (now BGO), where she advised on the fundraising of various equity and debt funds and corporate real estate matters.

Alex's experience includes representing:
- Amber Infrastructure on the establishment of a SMA for a financial institution
- Antin Infrastructure Partners on its mid cap and NextGen fund strategies and various co-investment vehicles
- Bregal Investments on various fundraisings across its investment strategies, carried interest/co-investment arrangements and other management platform matters
- Committed Advisors on matters related to the fundraising of its €2.6 billion fifth flagship secondary fund
- GreenOak Advisors (Jersey) Limited, an affiliate of BGO, on its appointment as manager of the £1 billion West End of London Property Unit Trust (“WELPUT”) and the subsequent conversion of WELPUT from an open-ended to a closed-ended fund
- ICG on its €8.1 billion eighth flagship European corporate fund
- Macquarie Asset Management on its €8 billion seventh flagship European infrastructure fund, MEIF7, the fundraising of Series 2 of its Super Core Infrastructure Fund, as well as various co-investment vehicles and carried interest/co-investment arrangements
- Patron Capital on its sixth European private equity real estate fund
