The Private Equity and Healthcare teams advised Retina Consultants of America (RCA), a portfolio company of Webster Equity Partners, on its acquisition of Retina Associates of Sarasota.
Formed by Webster Equity Partners and headquartered in Southlake, Texas, RCA is partnering with leading retina specialists who seek a strategic partner with the capital resources and expertise to invest in their practice infrastructure and position them for continued growth in their markets. RCA is unique in offering the first horizontal alliance in the eye-care field focused solely on retinal care.
Retina Associates of Sarasota is the eighth leading retina specialty practice to join RCA, continuing to expand to strategic locations across the U.S. The practice is comprised of retina specialists across four offices including Sarasota, Bradenton, Port Charlotte, and Venice, Florida.

The Goodwin team was led by John LeClaire, Chris Wilson, and Peter Hanoian and included Julian Landau-Sabella.
Goodwin advised Webster on the formation of RCA through the concurrent acquisitions of five preeminent retina specialty practices, and RCA on its subsequent acquisitions of VitreoRetinal Surgery, PA, and Palmetto Retina Center. Goodwin also counseled Webster on the formation of One GI through a partnership with a 30-physician and 10-site gastroenterology practice, as well as the expansion of Webster’s Santa Monica Fertility through its acquisition of Newborn Advantage Surrogacy.
