Nathaniel Hsieh is an associate in Goodwin’s Employment practice.
Nathaniel provides thoughtful, yet practical, counsel to clients across industries on a range of employment matters. He regularly advises employers on the full employee lifecycle—from pre-hire to post-separation—and has particular experience drafting and negotiating executive employment, separation, and restrictive covenant agreements.
Nathaniel routinely advises on all labor and employment aspects of complex corporate transactions, including by managing due diligence, negotiating purchase agreements, and drafting ancillary deal documents. He also has experience counseling employers through various employee disputes, including with respect to alleged misclassification, discrimination, and retaliation.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Nathaniel was an Executive Compensation, Employment, & Benefits associate at Latham & Watkins LLP.
Previously, Nathaniel served as an Attorney Development Manager for Goodwin’s Private Equity M&A practice. In this role, he gained first-hand human resources experience and earned certifications in executive coaching and supporting employee wellbeing.
Nathaniel is a graduate of Stanford Law School and the University of Southern California, where he was actively involved in student life and served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Journal of International Law and President of the USC Student Alumni Society.
