Goodwin partner Joshua Zachariah has been named a 2024 Law360 MVP for Mergers & Acquisitions. Law360 MVPs recognize the world’s elite lawyers across practices who have succeeded for their clients in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.
Zachariah is a partner in the firm’s Public M&A/Corporate Governance practice and serves as Co-Chair of Goodwin’s Global M&A Group. His practice focuses on representing public and private acquirers and target companies in a variety of domestic and cross-border acquisition and disposition transactions, joint ventures, and other corporate matters across the private equity, technology, and life sciences industries.
Among his accomplishments, Zachariah advised Novo Holdings in its entry into a $16.5 billion merger agreement with Catalent, Inc., and represented Qualtrics in its acquisition by private equity giant Silver Lake, in partnership with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, in an all-cash transaction valuing Qualtrics at $12.5 billion.
Recently, Zachariah advised the Special Committee of Zuora in the company’s definitive agreement to be acquired by Silver Lake and an affiliate of GIC Pte. Ltd. in a transaction valued at $1.7 billion.
Goodwin has been recognized as the number one firm law firm – by deal count – for Global M&A in LSEG’s Full Year 2023 League Tables.
