Partner John Casnocha has been named to Venture Capital Journal’s 2024 Rising Stars list. The annual recognition honors the world’s most talented up-and-coming venture capital professionals under the age of 40 who have excelled over the past year.
Casnocha is a partner in Goodwin’s Technology group where he advises founders, emerging growth companies, and venture capital, private equity, and other investment funds on corporate and transactional matters, including formations, financings, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and structuring and executing secondary sales and other private liquidity programs for private companies and their investors. He has guided companies and investors through hundreds of financing and M&A transactions in a variety of industries including software, digital media and health, life sciences, fintech, PropTech, climate tech, EdTech, crypto and web3, artificial intelligence, consumer products, entertainment, and sports.
Venture Capital Journal recognized Casnocha’s experience representing high-profile start-ups and major venture firms including Accel, Bain Capital, B Capital, GSV, and Lightspeed Ventures. It also highlighted his role as hiring partner for Goodwin’s San Francisco office, and as the chair of the board of trustees of Lone Mountain Children’s Center.
