Goodwin has rehired a former partner in California who focuses his practice on technology matters, emerging growth companies and venture capital firms, according to a recent announcement. Joshua Cook spent four years with Goodwin before leaving the firm. He returns to the practice he left as a partner. In an email to Law360 Pulse, Cook said there was no question for him on whether or not he'd return to Goodwin, saying things about the firm that first resonated with him when he joined in 2018 still held true today -- like their bench of attorneys and on the firm's vision for its practice. "More specifically, I was also tracking two important trends – the emergence of blockchain as a technology disruption and convergence of private equity and venture capital as an industry disruption," Cook said. "I don't think any other firms can cover that territory the way Goodwin does. It's quite remarkable."
