The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) has recognized Chris Wilson as a 2022 Rainmaker. This recognition honors partners from across the country who have a proven track record of achieving success through innovative and proactive business development while also contributing significantly to positive change in their communities.
Wilson is a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group and serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Healthcare practice. He specializes in advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a variety of transactions, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, growth equity investments, strategic transactions, joint ventures and general corporate matters.
In addition to his practice, Wilson serves as co-chair of Goodwin’s Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity (CRED), where he focuses on the firm’s diversity and inclusion efforts and helps to recruit, retain and advance lawyers of color throughout the firm. He also co-founded and remains involved in Goodwin’s naturalization pro bono program, which organizes free legal clinics that assist underprivileged lawful permanent residents, primarily from communities of color, in navigating the naturalization process.
Wilson has previously been recognized for excellence by The Legal 500 United States 2022, and the Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list for 2020. He has also been named a Top Lawyer Under 40 by the Hispanic National Bar Association, a Mergers & Acquisitions Trailblazer by The National Law Journal and an Emerging Leader by The M&A Advisor.
Founded in 1997, MCCA is committed to augmenting the hiring, retention and promotion of diverse lawyers in law departments and law firms by providing research, best practices, professional development and training; and through pipeline initiatives.
Wilson and the other winners will be honored at an awards ceremony in October.
