David Diamant is a counsel in Goodwin’s Private Equity group.

David advises on a broad range of corporate matters, with a focus on private equity transactions. He advises private equity firms, companies and managers in private M&A transactions and leverage buyouts (LBO). He also has extensive experience in managing cross-border private equity and M&A transactions.

Prior to joining Goodwin in 2016, David was a counsel at King & Wood Mallesons (formerly SJ Berwin) in Paris and was seconded for a year to SJ Berwin’s London office. Previously, he practiced at Clifford Chance in Paris.

David’s recent experience includes advising:

  • Armen in its minority investment in RGREEN INVEST, an independent French investment management company specializing in energy transition infrastructure projects.
  • B&Capital through its portfolio company Galaed on the acquisition of PROLED Group, a leading German brand and organisation in the lighting market.
  • Calliope, a portfolio company of Naxicap Partners:
    • on the sale of IGSI Gestion Système d'Information, an expert IT company offering advice, services and maintenance solutions for businesses, to Groupe Parthena Consultant.
    • on the sale of Calliope Business Solutions to Groupe TVH Consulting
  • CTH Invest, family office linked to Ferrero, on the acquisition of Michel et Augustin, a distributor of specialized food intended to serve the gourmet food sectors, from Danone Manifesto Ventures Europe.
  • Equistone in the sale of the Dugas group, an importer and distributor of fine liquor and alcoholic beverages, to Stock Spirits.
  • MUTARES, a listed private equity holding company that acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, on the acquisition of Walor International, a European leader in manufacturing forged and machined steel parts and its subsidiaries.
  • Naxicap Partners, the founders and the management of Cyllene in the sale of the Cyllene Group, one of the French leaders in independent IT infrastructure services.
  • The sellers including Pechel, the founders and individual investors on the capital reorganization of Grand Large Yatching, a manufacturer of yachts and sailboats intended for long-distance cruising by Raise Invest.
  • Tikehau Capital in a new €90 million funding of ChapsVision, a group specialized in the field of investigation and data analysis software in both cyber intelligence and marketing sectors, alongside Qualium Investissement, Geneo Capital Entrepreneur and Bpifrance.
