Goodwin’s Real Estate Industry group has advised its client on a disposal of material interests in, and the recapitalisation by Cedar Capital Partners and Ares Management Real Estate Secondaries Fund of, a portfolio of leading lifestyle hotels located in key European gateway cities.
The transaction is one of the most significant in its asset class across continental Europe in the last 12 months, and highlights the current position of hotel real estate as a core asset class for investors, driven by the revival of tourism and the trend of experiential travel across Europe.
The transaction reinforces Goodwin’s reputation as one of the leading firms for executing complex cross-border portfolio M&A, particularly in the operational real estate, hospitality and leisure sectors.
