Goodwin has appointed Matthew Nortcliff to the Private Investment Funds practice in Singapore, according to The Asset. Nortcliff, based in Singapore since 2010, represents clients with a focus on the real assets, private equity, venture capital, and technology sectors. Prior to joining Goodwin, Nortcliff led an international law firm’s funds and indirect real assets practice in Asia. Nortcliff joins Greg Barclay, chair of the Singapore office and a partner in the Private Investment Funds practice. The Singapore office opened in October 2022. Aside from Barclay and Nortcliff, Goodwin’s Asia funds team includes counsels Dominic Wong and Manish Ranjan. They work with other lawyers in Hong Kong and Singapore focused on private equity, technology and M&A.
