Global law firm Goodwin today announced that John Goheen joined the firm’s Antitrust & Competition practice as a partner, resident in the Washington, D.C. office.
“As antitrust enforcers around the world pursue a more aggressive approach to both merger and non-merger investigations, John’s addition to our growing cross-border antitrust team enhances our ability to provide clients with top-tier guidance,” said Andrew Lacy, co-chair of Goodwin’s Antitrust & Competition practice.
Goheen advises on matters involving all aspects of antitrust and competition law, including merger reviews, government antitrust investigations, antitrust litigation, and counseling on a variety of competition issues. He regularly represents clients in antitrust investigations by the Federal Trade Commission, U.S. Department of Justice and state attorneys general, and has experience counseling clients across a wide range of industries.
“We are thrilled to add John’s depth of transaction counseling and merger enforcement experience, particularly across Goodwin’s industries of focus in private equity, healthcare, technology, life sciences, and real estate. These industries continue to be primary targets for antitrust enforcers, making it all the more impactful to clients that we continue to add to our deep bench of experienced mergers and investigations practitioners who can handle the most complex matters,” said Arman Oruc, co-chair of Goodwin’s Antitrust & Competition practice.
Goheen’s arrival follows a significant expansion of Goodwin’s Antitrust & Competition practice over the last two years with the additions of partners Eram Khan and Sarah Jordan, and counsel Charlotte Brunsdon to the London office.
