Goodwin has hired an antitrust partner for its London office as it seeks to expand its European competition practice. Eram Khan, who advises major firms, banks and financial institutions on international deals, made the move at the start of the year. The firm said that Khan's hire follows a string of other additions as part of a push to boost its European Antitrust & Competition practice, which it launched in March. Khan said she was drawn to Goodwin by the opportunity of being a key player in developing the practice. "It's quite rare to have that chance," she told Law360. "The vast majority of the U.K. firms have established competition teams, but this felt like you get to play quite a central role and shape the team as it grows over the years, so that for me was really appealing."
