The Paris Private Equity team advised the Rossignol Group on the sale of the Felt brand to PIERER Mobility AG, a leading global firm in the bicycle sector.
Established in 1907, the Rossignol Group is a French leader manufacturer of sports equipment, especially alpine ski, snowboards and bikes.
Felt Bicycles has an established reputation for producing high-performance, drop-bar road, triathlon, track, cyclocross, gravel, and adventure bikes.
Rossignol now no longer has dedicated cycling brands under its umbrella, but it will continue to produce mountain bikes under its own name. With this sale, Rossignol is entering a new stage of development, “evolving from a snowsport-specific brand, to a mountain lifestyle brand.”
The Goodwin team was led by Thomas Dupont-Sentilles and included Stephen Lee and Mélanie Walusiak on the corporate aspects as well as Charles-Henri de Gouvion Saint Cyr on the tax aspects.
