Goodwin Procter attorneys recently represented CCMP Capital (acting as sub-advisor to J.P. Morgan Partners) and Metokote Corp., a provider of industrial metal coating services, in the sale of MetoKote to Platinum Equity. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CCMP Capital is a global private equity firm specializing in buyout and growth equity investments in the US and Europe. The firm focuses its investments in four sectors - consumer/retail, industrial, healthcare, energy - and has invested over $14 billion since 1984. The firm is based in New York City.
MetoKote serves clients in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Europe with environmentally sound and cost-effective coating solutions including equipment, coating application and related management and support services. The company is based in Lima, Ohio.
The Goodwin team advising CCMP and MetoKote was led by partner Ilan Nissan and included Liam Timoney, Erini Svokos, Eric Willenbacher and Nate Brodeur. Mike Miller provided invaluable assistance on the transaction as well.
