Understanding Paycheck Protection Loans and COVID-19 Disaster Loans under the Small Business Act
A team of Goodwin lawyers has been hard at work analyzing the myriad provisions in the U.S. CARES Act that are critical for many of our clients’ businesses. In particular, Goodwin’s Debt Finance, Employment and Tax teams have been keeping our clients abreast of the legislation as it has advanced.
In an effort to share our knowledge of the U.S. CARES Act and its implications more broadly with all of our clients, we hosted an informative Zoom webinar on Thursday, April 2, 2020. The webinar, titled “Putting the CARES Act into Context: Understanding Paycheck Protection Loans and COVID-19 Disaster Loans under the Small Business Act," was attended by nearly 1,400 Goodwin clients. It was presented by Anna Dodson, Jennifer Fay, Collette Goodman, Mike Kendall, Christina Lewis, and Romina Weiss, as well as experts from PilieroMazza , who Goodwin is working with as SBA special counsel.
Topics included an Overview of the Paycheck Protection Program focused on the Most Frequently Asked Questions:
- Eligibility
- Small Status and Affiliation
- Loan Amount
- Deferment
- Forgiveness
