John Stern is a counsel in Goodwin’s Tax group. His practice focuses on federal income tax issues arising with the organization and operation of private investment funds, complex joint ventures, public and private REITs, partnerships with tax-exempt, domestic and non-US investors and other collective investment vehicles. He also advises clients on a variety of real estate and real estate related transactions as well as corporate and partnership acquisitions, dispositions, offerings, restructurings and other transactional matters. He joined the firm in 2015.
