Andrew’s primary focus is on advising technology and other IP rich companies, their investors and acquirers. Andrew’s practice spans the entire corporate life cycle, including venture and growth capital financings, cross border acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, general corporate representation and corporate governance. Andrew is co-chair of Goodwin's Global Tech M&A group, based in London.

Venture and Growth Financings

  • Benchmark – on its lead investment into the $24 million Series A financing of 11x, who provide AI-powered digital workers that autonomously execute workflows traditionally performed by employees in GTM teams
  • Vertice – on its $25 million Series B fundraise co-led by 83North and Bessemer Venture Partners. Vertice is a London-based tech-enabled SaaS and cloud spend management company which is designed to help businesses reduce their annual software and cloud spend by 20-30% as well as streamlining the purchasing process
  • Build A Rocket Boy – on an over $110 million Series D fundraising. Build A Rocket Boy is an independent game developer and publisher.
  • Oxford Quantum Circuits – on its $100 million Series B financing, which is the UK’s largest ever Series B in quantum computing. OQC is a global leader in quantum compute-as-a-service (QCaaS)
  • GoMetro – on its £9 million Series A financing round, led by Zenobē Energy. GoMetro is a South African technology company that operates in the fleet management space
  • Bloom – on its $10 million seed financing round. Backers included Octopus Ventures and MMC. Bloom is a UK-based, next-generation coaching platform offering accelerated professional growth to people at work
  • Blackfin Capital Partners – as the lead investor in a £10 million Series B funding round for Timeline, a UK fintech company that develops and offers a financial planning and portfolio management tools
  • Accel – as lead investor in the $90 million Series C fundraising round for Synthesia, an artificial intelligence-based video generation platform
  • Matillion – on its $150 million Series E funding round, led by General Atlantic. Andrew also advised Matillion on two follow-on investments by Snowflake and Databricks. Matillion is an easy-to-use cloud-native data integration and transformation platform
  • Lightspeed Venture Partners – on its lead investment into a $100 million Series B extension funding round for Payhawk, a business spend management platform intended to provide assistance to small businesses in dealing with expenses
  • Zapp – on its $200 million Series B funding round co-led by Lightspeed, 468 Capital, and BroadLight Capital. Zapp is an on-demand convenience start-up which launched in 2020, focused on delivering drinks, snacks, grocery essentials, and other everyday items within minutes
  • Isometric – on its $25 million seed financing round led by Lowercarbon Capital and Plural. Isometric has developed a Science Platform and is developing a carbon removal registry to ensure that the transition to carbon removal happens responsibly and fast
  • Vivid Money – on its $114 million Series C financing round, and on its $73 million Series B funding round, both led by Greenoaks Capital. Vivid Money is a German-based fintech startup which provides a financial services platform combining mobile banking, investments and crypto in one app that helps customers save and invest their money
  • Left Lane Capital – on its lead investment in a $69 million Series B round and subsequent £30 million convertible loan note financing for Freetrade, a UK based financial technology company which offers a freemium share dealing service

  • Lightspeed Venture Partners – on its lead investment into a $25M Series A equity round for Lightyear, an investment application designed to invest money globally without unnecessary barriers or fees
