Global law firm Goodwin today announced that Zeeshan (Zee) Ahmedani joined the firm’s Private Investment Funds practice as partner, resident in the downtown Los Angeles office.

Ahmedani focuses on advising investment managers and sponsors on the organization and establishment of U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdiction private investment funds, including real estate, venture capital, hedge, private equity, distressed, hybrid, and Shari’ah-compliant funds. He represents managers, placement agents, and sponsors around the world across a broad range of investment and capital raising strategies. Ahmedani also has broad experience representing institutional investors on their alternative asset portfolios, including negotiating investments in all classes of private investment funds, separately managed accounts, and investment management agreements. Ahmedani began his career in California, practiced outside of the U.S. in both London and Abu Dhabi, along with secondments to Hong Kong and Tokyo, and returned to his California roots and practice 7 years ago.
