Peter Moorman is an associate in Goodwin’s Business Law department and a member of the firm’s Technology group. He started at the firm in January 2022. Peter concentrates his legal practice in representing and advising clients in all stages of growth on a variety of corporate legal issues, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings and investing activities, and corporate governance.

- Deciphera Pharmaceuticals in its $2.4 billion sale to ONO Pharmaceutical
- Novo Holdings in its pending $16.5 billion take-private acquisition of Catalent
- American Battery Solutions in its sale to Komatsu
- EQRx in its sale to Revolution Medicines in an all-stock transaction intended to add more than $1 billion in net cash to Revolution Medicines’ balance sheet
- Qualtrics in its $12.5 billion sale to Silver Lake and CPP Investments
- Intapp in its acquisition of Paragon Data Labs
- Pixomondo in connection with its acquisition by Sony
- The Yes in connection with its acquisition by Pinterest
- Advising Apollo Global Management, Inc. and its affiliates in connection with the cross-border acquisition of Great Canadian Gaming Corporation for C$2.54 billion (and associated internal restructure)*
- Advising Ovintiv Inc. (formerly Encana Corporation) on its corporate reorganization and redomicile to the United States*
- Advising Westjet Airlines Ltd. on its acquisition by an affiliate of Onex Corporation valued at C$5 billion (and associated internal restructure)*
- Advising numerous Canadian clients in the health sciences, mineral and junior oil and gas sectors in connection with their initial financing and public listing applications*

Prior to joining Goodwin, Peter worked as a corporate associate at Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt LLP in Vancouver, Canada and as a corporate securities associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in Calgary, Canada, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, as well as routine corporate and governance matters.
