A partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation group, Dr. Theodoros Konstantakopoulos focuses his practice on post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, patent litigation in district courts and the International Trade Commission, and counseling clients on intellectual property matters. As a registered patent attorney, Theodoros has also advised clients in preparing and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications and portfolio strategy. Further, he has conducted numerous due diligence investigations and drafted opinions of counsel.

Theodoros has significant experience before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in inter partes review proceedings. In 2019, analytics service Patexia identified him as one of the top 30 most effective attorneys representing petitioners in PTAB proceedings; in 2020, Patexia identified him as the 11th best performing attorney representing petitioners in PTAB proceedings and as one of the most active attorneys representing petitioners at the PTAB; and in 2021, Patexia identified him as the 11th best performing attorney (overall) in PTAB proceedings.

With a PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Theodoros has represented clients in fields including wireless communications and standards, network systems, computer security, computer software, internet-based applications, microprocessors, digital and analog integrated circuits, video coding technology, storage systems, fabrication technologies, semiconductors, light-emitting diodes, and medical devices.

During his doctoral studies at MIT, Theodoros was a research assistant in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory working in the Computer Architecture Group. For his master’s degree, he conducted research in the Microsystems Technology Laboratory working in the Digital Integrated Circuits and Systems Group.

  • Representing leading microelectronics manufacturer in multiple patent litigations involving microprocessors, wireless technology, semiconductors, and analog circuits in the ITC and District Courts, and in multiple inter partes review proceedings at the PTAB*
  • Representing leading consumer electronics company in multiple patent litigations involving wireless technology and cell phone user interfaces*
  • Representing leading telecommunications technology company in patent litigation involving voltage regulators*
  • Representing petitioner in multiple inter partes review proceedings involving video coding technology*
  • Representing appliance and consumer electronics company in multiple inter partes review proceedings involving semiconductors*
  • Representing global technology innovator in multiple inter partes review proceedings involving computer and networking systems*
