Michael Cain is an associate in the Business Law department and a member of its Private Equity group at Goodwin. He started at the firm in 2021. Michael represents private equity funds and their portfolio companies in transactional and corporate matters, including platform structuring, platform and add-on acquisitions, recapitalizations and minority investments.
In addition, Michael has experience representing clients in connection with venture capital financings.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Michael was an associate at DLA Piper LLP where he represented private equity firms in connection with acquisitions and divestures, along with general corporate governance matters. He also represented start-up and later-stage companies in venture financings.
