More than 18 months after its high-profile entry into the Philadelphia market, Boston-rooted megafirm Goodwin Procter has become the first tenant in Brandywine Realty Trust's recently completed office tower at 3025 John F. Kennedy Boulevard. Last week, the law firm moved into 31,000 square feet of space that encompasses the 8th floor and part of the 7th on a 12.5-year lease. The firm has an option to take the rest of the 7th floor if it outgrows its space, and Philadelphia office co-managing partners Rachael Bushey and Barbara Shander said to the Philadelphia Business Journal that they anticipate that happening. The firm has a total of 33 lawyers, including 12 partners, and 25 professional staff in a space with 70 individual offices. Goodwin has added roughly five lateral associates and offered two summer associates full-time jobs. The lawyers have a focus on life sciences and health care transactions, private equity and white collar criminal defense litigation.
