Mary O’Carroll, who in 2008 became Google’s first legal-ops professional and has been a leader in the legal-ops field since, is joining the Am Law 100 law firm Goodwin as chief operating officer. In a press release, O’Carroll called joining Goodwin “an easy decision and a great privilege.” Goodwin, has more than 1,700 lawyers, was ranked 16th in The American Lawyer’s 2024 Am Law 100, and has a gross revenue of $2.24 billion.
