Global law firm Goodwin announced today the expansion of its global Technology and Life Sciences platform in Paris with the addition of partner Xavier Leroux.
“From emerging companies to public companies and their investors, our premier full-service team advises the entire ecosystem at different stages of a company's development,” said Maxence Bloch, Chair of Goodwin’s Paris office. “Xavier is an exceptional lawyer who brings substantial experience in venture, leverage buyouts and M&A transactions. His arrival enables us to accelerate our development in disruptive sectors in which our clients operate. Goodwin is committed to working with our clients at all stages of the corporate lifecycle by building teams of talented lawyers across our global network.”
Xavier focuses on venture capital and growth equity transactions in particular in the technology industry. He assists start-ups and scale-ups throughout the corporate life cycle, from incorporation to exit, in their day-to-day structuring, capital financing and external growth operations.
The addition of Xavier complements the firm's Technology and Life Sciences offering in Paris, led by partners Thomas Dupont-Sentilles, Anne-Charlotte Rivière and Marie Fillon. Goodwin's well-established international Technology & Life Sciences group supports companies and investors across their entire life cycles – financings, growth and private equity transactions, M&A, strategic partnerships and collaborations and capital markets.
Goodwin has been named the number one firm (by deal count) for global M&A by Refinitiv in its full-year 2020, 2021 & 2022 league tables. In the most recent of these, Goodwin advised clients on 1,028 M&A transactions — 202 more deals than any other law firm. In addition to these results, the Q1 2023 league tables highly ranked Goodwin for its ability to advise clients throughout a variety of M&A and Private Equity transactions in multiple jurisdictions, including being named number one firm by deal count for Global M&A by Refinitiv.
