Xavier Leroux is a partner in Goodwin’s Technology and Life Sciences groups.
He focuses on venture capital and growth equity transactions in particular in the technology industry.
He assists start-ups and scale-ups in the long-term throughout the corporate life cycle, from incorporation to exit, in their day-to-day structuring as well as in their capital financing and external growth operations.
Prior to joining Goodwin in 2023, Xavier was a partner at Bird & Bird and previously worked at Dechert.

Xavier’s recent transactions include advising:
- Alma, the French fintech offering installment and deferred payment solutions for merchants and consumers, in its €115 million Series C financing round backed by Tencent, GR Capital et Roosh Ventures.*
- Aqemia, a next-generation pharmatech company generating one of the world's fastest-growing drug discovery pipeline, in its €30 million and €38 million Series A extensions for a total amounting to €100 million.
- Bpifrance in the $35 million Series B financing of Calyxia, a company known for its innovative technology in the field of microencapsulation, providing solutions that enhance product performance and sustainability.
- H Company, a French AI startup, in its $220 million Series Seed financing.
- Hepta Medical, a French company founded in 2019 via MD Start, the medtech incubator backed by Sofinnova Partners, on its €5,7 million Series A.
- Hype, the only 100% zero-emission taxi booking application, in the acquisition of Lounge, a booking platform dedicated to premium taxis founded by Serge Metz, former CEO of Taxis G7.
- Moon Surgical, a French-American pioneer in collaborative robotics, in its $31.3 million Series A financing as well as in its additional $55.4 million funding to support the continued development and planned commercialization of its Maestro System.*
- Skynopy, an end-to-end connectivity solution for satellite operators to communicate with their satellites in Low-Earth Orbit, on its financing.
- Syntetica, an innovative nylon recycling startup helping to solve the pollution problem in the fashion industry, in its €4.2 million Series Seed financing led by EQT Ventures.
- 900.care, a designer of sustainable products for the care industry, its €21 million Series B financing round.
