Eryn Mathews is a counsel in the firm’s REITs and Real Estate M&A, Capital Markets and Public Companies practices. Eryn focuses primarily on public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, corporate governance, securities law compliance for public companies, public and private mergers and acquisitions, and other matters of general corporate and securities law.
Experience
Eryn's experience in corporate finance includes representing public and private companies, including publicly-traded real estate investment trusts (REITs), and underwriters in transactions such as initial public offerings (IPOs), follow-on shelf offerings and 144A offerings of equity and debt securities as well as in public and private mergers. She has been involved in raising over $8.2 billion in public and private equity and debt capital for the firm’s clients and in approximately $10.1 billion of completed public and private mergers and acquisitions on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Eryn has also provided ongoing corporate governance and securities law advice to many of the firm’s clients. She has counseled these clients in all aspects of general corporate and securities law compliance and a wide variety of general corporate and securities matters.

While attending law school, Eryn served as an editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and authored "STOLI on the Rocks: Why States Should Eliminate the Abusive Practice of Stranger-Owned Life Insurance," 14.2 Conn. Ins. L.J. 199, 521 (Spring 2008).
