Jeffrey I. Klein

Jeff Klein, a partner in Goodwin's Technology Companies group and its Technology Transactions practice, helps companies in all areas of the corporate life cycle. He concentrates on pre-incorporation planning, formation issues (including founder equity issues), financing transactions, commercial agreements, revenue transactions, licensing, general corporate representation and counseling, corporate governance, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Klein is a key contributor to Goodwin’s Founders Workbench, an online resource for start-ups, emerging companies and the entrepreneurial community.

Mr. Klein is also a member of Goodwin’s PropTech Initiative focused on supporting the intersection of Real Estate and Technology through thoughtful collaboration across the two practice areas. As a key contributor to the group and Steering Committee, Mr. Klein participates in a variety of industry events and stays up to date on relevant market trends impacting the PropTech sector to effectively support clients involved in this space.

Mr. Klein works with a broad base of start-up, venture-backed and growth companies in a variety of industries, and focuses in advertising technology, digital media, entertainment, enterprise software, big data, Internet, mobile, e-commerce, financial services technology and healthcare technology.

Mr. Klein is a member of the New York, Boston and Massachusetts Bar Associations, the Computer Law Association and the Licensing Executives Society.

Mr. Klein has been named to the AlwaysOn “Power Players” list in 2012 and 2013, which honors leaders in the digital media marketplace in New York City. Additionally, he has been recognized as a “Leading Patent & Technology Licensing Lawyer” by Intellectual Asset Management magazine as part of its IAM Licensing 250 survey.
