The Real Estate Industry and Propsci teams have advised Kadans Science Partner on the establishment of a development platform with Canary Wharf Group to build Europe’s largest commercial lab building (located in North Quay, Canary Wharf in London).
The transformational 750,000 square feet life sciences focused and wet-lab enabled building will form the first phase in the construction of a world leading health and life sciences hub on an 8.2 acre North Quay site, which will play a key role in establishing London and the UK as a leading destination for the life sciences sector.
Designed by award winning architectural firm KPF, and developed to the highest sustainability and technological standards, the building will leverage Kadans’ experience of curating multi-let lab and office projects with vibrant communities. The building will create a campus under one roof, housing SME’s and academics as well as global healthcare and pharmaceutical companies.
Kadans (backed by AXA IM – Real Assets) is Europe’s leading life sciences real estate developer and operator, and Europe’s largest life sciences real estate owner with a tenant base comprising a mix of global corporates, SME and start-up businesses, as well as academic and government institutions, in highly innovative growth sectors such as life sciences and biotech.
The Goodwin team included James Spence, Ray Fang, Martin Smith, Katie Leah, and Sam Cramer.
