Zhe Yang is an associate in the firm’s Business Law department, and a member of its Private Equity group and Debt Finance practice. Her practice focuses on the representation of private equity sponsors, private credit clients, search funds, royalty monetization investors, family offices, private and public companies, borrowers and lenders in connection with secured and unsecured financing transactions, including leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, asset-based financings, refinancings, recapitalizations, and royalty and synthetic royalty financings. She has represented clients in a variety of industries including media and communications, technology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, retail, gaming, telecommunications, software, and financial services.

- Represented a leading private equity firm with a $815 million term loan and a $75 million super priority revolving loan in connection with the acquisition financing of a software security company
- Represented a private equity firm with a $60 million term loan, a $17 million delayed draw term loan, and a $10 million revolving loan in connection with the acquisition financing of a manufacturer of compressed air and gas filtration
- Represented a private equity firm with a $30 million delayed draw term loan and a $30 million revolving loan in connection with the acquisition financing of a full-service global digital and technology consulting firm

Prior to joining Goodwin in 2021, Zhe was an associate at another global law firm in New York where she represented public and private companies, initial purchasers, underwriters, agents, lenders, and financial institutions in debt capital markets and financing transactions. Prior to attending law school, Zhe worked as a certified public accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York. Zhe has passed Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst Exam.
