Chris Shoff is a partner in Goodwin’s Technology practice and a leading advisor to emerging companies, venture capital firms, private equity firms, and strategic acquirers in the technology, life sciences, and other growth industries. He is the leader of the firm’s Business Law department in Santa Monica. Chris represents technology, life sciences, and other high growth companies and the venture capital, private equity, and strategic investors that finance them. He regularly represents growth companies throughout their entire life cycle from formation to exit. In this role he advises companies, entrepreneurs, and investors on a full range of matters and transactions including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, company formation, equity incentives, employment matters, securities law compliance, corporate governance, and public offerings.
Chris also has extensive experience representing both sellers and acquirers in M&A transactions. This experience helps him more effectively advise emerging companies through their growth cycle in preparation for an exit.
