Thomas V. McTigue IV

Tom McTigue is an associate in Goodwin’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice and a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Disputes group. Tom focuses his practice on patent litigation across a range of industries and technologies.

Tom has experience representing clients in all stages of patent litigation, including pre-suit analysis, fact and expert discovery, motion practice, pretrial proceedings, trial, and appeal. Recent engagements include patent litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act, patent litigation under the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA), other district court patent litigation, and arbitration proceedings.

Tom maintains an active pro bono practice, with a particular focus on immigration matters.  He is also a member of the Boston Bar Association.

While attending law school, Tom served as a staff editor and the Ombudsperson for the Columbia Law Review.

Tom was awarded the Carroll G. Harper Prize from Columbia Law School for attaining the highest standards of achievement in intellectual property studies and writing.
