Thomas Maitrejean is a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group.

Thomas focuses his practice on M&A with a particular focus on mid-market / upper mid-market private equity transactions, cross-border M&A, and growth equity investments.

Thomas regularly advises on a series of high-profile domestic and cross-border corporate/M&A transactions across a variety of industries, including software, healthcare, food, technology, financial services and consumer products.

He also undertakes corporate and commercial advisory work for a broad range of corporate clients and private equity portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Goodwin in 2016, Thomas was a partner at King & Wood Mallesons (formerly SJ Berwin) in Paris. Previously, he practiced at Clifford Chance.

  • Azulis Capital and the partners-managers of CEME in the sale of their share capital of the CEME Group, a proven leader in electrical and HVAC engineering and maintenance, to Apax Partners
  • Azulis Capital in the sale of Novepan, a French manufacturer of premium frozen partly-baked specialty breads, savory snacks and pizza dough with a leading position on high quality and organic products
  • Cerea Partners in the acquisition of AB Process group, a French company that designs and integrates custom robotic and automated solutions
  • Equistone:
    • in the sale of Dugas group, an importer and distributor of fine liquor and alcoholic beverages (rhum, bitters, whiskies, cognac, etc.), to Stock Spirits
    • in its majority investment in Sicame, a global supplier of electrical connectors and accessories to electricity distributors
    • in the sale of the Bruneau Group, one of France’s leading online distributors of office furniture and supplies, to TowerBrook Capital Partners
    • in the acquisition of a majority stake in Vertbaudet, Europe’s leading e-commerce platform dedicated to childhood
    • in the acquisition of Gardengate, a leading European manufacturer of aluminum gates and doors
  • Parquest:
    • in the acquisition of a stake in Imacam, CRP and I.Series, three groups specialized in radiology and medical imaging in the area of Montpellier (France)
    • in the OBO of Xelya, a French cloud solutions provider specializing in information telecommunications systems for small to medium-sized businesses, such as personal care service providers and law firms, alongside its founders
  • Sagard in the acquisition of Synov, a leading European player in the design and manufacturing of tailor-made electronic system, from Dentressangle
  • Tikehau Capital:
    • in the sale of the Verona group, one of the French reference in the world of city sports, to Keep cool
    • and Bpifrance, in the acquisition of a minority stake in Eki Metrics, a European leader in “data science for business”
    • in the acquisition of a minority stake in Valgo, a leader in removal and soil remediation
  • The management of Ipackchem, a global market leader in the production of high-performance plastic packaging:
    • as they entered into exclusive negotiations for the sale of the group to Greif
    • in the acquisition of Tournaire Plastic, an international group founded in 1833, as one of the first distillers of perfume plants established in Grasse
  • The sellers led by Cerea Partners in the sale of the GPS group, a worldwide specialist in providing returnable packaging solutions, to MML Capital Partners and Metric Capital Partners
  • The sellers and the management of Sevetys, one of the leading operators of veterinary clinics in France, in the sale of the group to Eurazeo
  • Three Hills Capital Partners in its investment in Castellet Hospitality, a resilient budget and midscale hotel group operating in the South-East of France
  • Vulcain, the engineering group which specializes in energy transition and life sciences, and its management in its LBO acquisition by a consortium of investors comprised of Ardian, Tikehau Capital and EMZ and the exit of its shareholders Equistone and Sagard
