Dr. Pamela Johnson is a science advisor and registered patent agent in the firm’s Business Law department and a member of its Intellectual Property practice. She joined the firm in 2022 and uses her background in biotechnology to assist clients in patent prosecution matters regarding life sciences and technology. Dr. Johnson is also a registered patent agent with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Professional Experience

Prior to join Goodwin, Dr. Johnson worked as an intellectual property technical advisor at a boutique law firm in Overland Park, KS. She worked with the firm’s patent litigation and prosecution practice to help clients in a wide variety of fields including technology, medical devices, and chemicals protect their intellectual property.

During her doctoral studies, Dr. Johnson conducted research in the lab of Dr. Jennifer Robinson at the University of Kansas. Her dissertation focused on small molecule drug delivery and materials development for regenerative medicine and orthopedic applications. Dr. Johnson’s work has given her a deep understanding of medical devices, polymer science, drug delivery, and personalized medicine.
