Rob Insolia is Chair Emeritus of Goodwin and a partner in Goodwin’s internationally recognized Real Estate Industry group, and former co-chair of its Real Estate Private Investment Funds practice. He represents and advises clients involved in the capitalization of real estate through public and private capital markets. He assists with the formation of domestic and international private equity and real estate funds, REIT IPOs and follow-on public offerings, the formation and capitalization of investment managers and finance companies, mergers and acquisitions of real estate operating companies, and the purchase, sale, financing, and restructuring of real estate and real estate-related assets.
Prior to becoming Chair Emeritus in 2023, Rob served as Chair of the firm from 2019-2023, as Managing Partner from 2012-2019, and was a founding partner and former chair of Goodwin’s New York office.
Experience
Rob has represented numerous real estate investment managers in strategic transactions such as sponsoring commingled real estate funds and acquiring or selling real estate operating companies or investment managers. He also has represented investment banks, insurance companies and commercial banks, as well as issuers, underwriters, joint ventures, REITs, partnerships, other public and private real estate operating companies and investors in capital markets real estate transactions.
