Fredrik Hellstrom

Fredrik Hellstrom is an associate in Goodwin’s Antitrust and Competition practice. Fredrik advises on a wide range of EU, UK and international competition law and foreign direct investment matters, including international merger control, antitrust investigations, antitrust compliance, and market investigations.

Fredrik has extensive experience assisting clients in obtaining UK, EU and international merger and foreign investment clearances for their transactions. His experience includes advising leading companies in the technology, private equity, financial services, consumer goods and transport industries, amongst others.

Fredrik’s recent representative experience includes advising:

• A leading global restaurant and catering operator on its acquisition of a restaurant and catering operator located across the Nordic*
• A leading financial services and fund platform provider on its acquisition of a B2B investment fund platform*
• A global home entertainment distributor on its joint venture with another global home entertainment distributor*
• A global tech company on the co-ordination of ongoing proceedings and inquiries before the European Commission, UK Competition and Markets Authority and other international competition authorities*
• A leading broadband and mobile communications operator on the divestment of its operations in multiple EU Member States*
• A global transport company on the divestment of its rail and bus passenger transport businesses in the UK and multiple EU Member States*
• A leading fast-moving consumer goods company on its response to a market study report by the UK Competition and Markets Authority*
