Christopher Haley is a science law clerk and registered patent agent in Goodwin’s Life Sciences group. Dr. Haley draws from his experience and technical background in organic chemistry to assist clients with preparing and prosecuting patent applications, evaluating patent portfolios, and performing freedom to operate analyses. Dr. Haley advises clients across a variety of technologies, including small molecule therapeutics, polypeptides, polynucleotides, lipid nanoparticles, and radiopharmaceuticals.
Professional Experience
Dr. Haley holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology where he worked on the total synthesis of natural products and developed novel synthetic methodologies to prepare heteroarenes. He has been working in the field of patent law since 2016. Prior to joining Goodwin in 2019, he was a patent agent at a Boston-area law firm.
