Lori Gordon is a partner in Goodwin’s Intellectual Property Litigation group. Her practice focuses intensively on inter partes matters, including more than 260 contested case proceedings in front of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Lori has been a leader in PTAB trials since their inception in 2012, and has participated in some of the very first such trials. In addition to her PTAB experience, Lori has handled more than a dozen district court litigations.
Lori represents clients in a broad range of industries, including data communications, semiconductor devices and fabrication, data security, machine learning, and electronic commerce. Her technology-centered work is informed by her previous professional experience as an engineer for Bell Communications Research (Bellcore).
Among her many professional awards, Lori has been recognized by the PTAB Bar Association as the top woman litigator since the PTAB’s founding based on a number of trials. In 2019 and 2017, Lori was named a finalist for Managing Intellectual Property’s PTAB Litigator of the Year. She has also been nominated to their Top 250 Women in IP list six times.
