Brittany Fayette is an associate in Goodwin’s Intellectual Property and Strategic Technology Transactions and Licensing practices, and a member of the firm’s Technology and Life Sciences groups. She started at the firm in 2021. Brittany advises clients on a broad range of intellectual property, technology, and commercial matters, across a variety of sectors, including: life sciences, health technology, ecommerce, telecommunications, and transportation.
Brittany has particular experience drafting and negotiating a range of intellectual property agreements, including licensing and commercialization agreements, collaboration and partner agreements, reseller and OEM agreements, non-disclosure agreements, terms of service, and software and SaaS agreements. Brittany also advises on intellectual property matters for mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructures, venture and private equity investments, IPOs, and other corporate matters.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Brittany was an associate at K&L Gates LLP and Foster Garvey PC where she focused her practice on intellectual property transactions and data privacy counseling.
During law school, Brittany served as a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. in the Affirmative Civil Litigation Unit of the Civil Division, as well as for the Office of Foreign Litigation in the Department of Justice’s Commercial Litigation Branch. Prior to law school, Brittany worked for one of the world’s largest drinks manufacturers, providing guidance on regulatory, trade, and other compliance issues.
Brittany has been an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) since 2019.
Brittany has served on the executive committee for the International Practice Section of the Washington State Bar Association since 2018.
