Martina Toponarski is Managing Director of Client Development for the firm’s Life Sciences practice. She is responsible for the planning and execution of strategic business development, marketing, and communications initiatives within the firm’s Business Law department. Martina focuses on the firm’s Life Sciences practice, which comprises over 230 lawyers who work with over 1,700 life sciences companies, including 200 public companies, 200 venture capital and private equity firms, and many of the leading investment banks worldwide. The group is deeply experienced in corporate governance, financing and M&A transactions, collaborations and licensing, regulatory matters, and intellectual property laws.
Martina has 15 years of direct professional experience related to life sciences industry sector in the Greater Boston area and proven ability to create, implement, and execute strategic plans, conferences and events, build brands, manage projects, and facilitate partnerships between various stakeholders. She spent seven years leading major economic development efforts for the City of Boston that focused on recruiting life sciences companies to the city and fostering the growth of the life sciences industry. Prior to Goodwin, she worked at Xconomy, a national news media and event organization where she focused on engaging the life sciences communities on the East and West Coast with high-profile thought leadership events and content.
