Global law firm Goodwin today announced that Alexander (“Xander”) Flynn-Tabloff has joined the firm’s Employment practice as a partner, resident in the Boston office.
“Xander has extensively advised on a full range of employment and management issues, making him a valuable addition to the team,” said Robert Hale, Chair of Goodwin’s Employment practice. “His robust expertise across industries, especially working with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, aligns well with our platform and will enable us to offer additional sector-focused support to our global clients. We are delighted to welcome Xander to the firm.”
Xander represents clients on labor and employment matters in complex corporate transactions, especially those involving private equity sponsors. He has advised clients in over 1,000 transactions, including multinational mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings. His work includes leading due diligence, overseeing employment aspects of purchase agreements, structuring and drafting employment, non-competition, non-solicitation, clawback, retention, and employment separation agreements, and advising on legal compliance, employment risks, and successor liability in the transactional space. Xander also counsels clients on employee discipline and high-stakes executive terminations, reductions in force, WARN Act compliance, compensation arrangements, hiring and termination documentation, internal investigations, agency investigations and audits, litigation avoidance, restrictive covenant enforcement, wage and hour matters, and compliance with other labor and employment legal requirements.
Goodwin’s Employment practice supports clients with the employment aspects of domestic and cross-border transactions and helps them avoid potential workforce problems and associated liability by navigating through the thicket of employment law considerations. The team develops and negotiates employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, compensation plans and employment separation agreements. It also advises and strategizes with clients, including their C-suite members and boards, on sensitive employment matters and undertakes investigations for its clients. When disputes lead to litigation involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, wage and hour compliance, restrictive covenant enforceability or other related matters, the team represents clients in the litigation process.
