Five partners advising tech and life sciences companies in a range of deal and investment types, have joined Goodwin. Partners Pat Mitchell, Michael McGrail, Giselle Rivers, and Harley Brown joined Goodwin’s technology practice while partner Josh Rottner joined the firm’s life sciences practice. The group has been practicing as a team for the more than 10 years. Ken Gordon, co-chair of Goodwin’s technology practice, said the additions come at a time of “tremendous growth and opportunity” for Goodwin’s clients in two of the most “innovative and disruptive” sectors of the global economy: tech and life sciences. “Every major global law firm wants to establish significant technology and life sciences practices, but few have the diversified expertise to capably service those dynamic industries,” Mitchell mentioned to The American Lawyer. “and Goodwin is one of the only law firms in the world that has elite practices in all of those areas.”
