One year ago, OpenAI's launch of ChatGPT introduced generative artificial intelligence to the masses. As with any new technology, the gains and benefits brought about by generative AI also come with a number of potential concerns and issues. These range from inherent biases with the AI algorithms, intellectual property infringement issues, dataset and content usage rights and even environmental challenges due to the energy requirements for model training.
