After confirming the addition of a 14-partner group, leaders at Goodwin said they have a 12-month plan to move their nascent Philadelphia Life Sciences, Private Equity and White Collar Defense practices from a temporary sublease to a permanent office location, according to The Legal Intelligencer. Additions include rainmakers and former practice area leaders with whom they share pre-existing client relationships, Goodwin leaders said. “It’s a tremendous opportunity for a firm with Goodwin’s depth to have presence in this market and in the mid-Atlantic region as a whole for biotech and life sciences,” said Rachael Bushey, who chaired her previous firm’s health sciences department. She has been tapped as co-managing partner of Goodwin’s Philadelphia office. Partner Thomas Gallagher, former firmwide vice chair, also started last week with John Jones, former chair of the healthcare transactions and regulatory practices of the health sciences department at their former firm.
