Goodwin Chairman Emeritus and of counsel David Hashmall has joined FedArb’s panel as a mediator. Mr. Hashmall will continue in his current role with Goodwin, while also working with the nationwide alternative dispute resolution firm.
Mr. Hashmall specializes in resolving intellectual property, antitrust, securities, commercial and securities disputes. Over the course of his career, Mr. Hashmall has accumulated 40 years of experience litigating a wide array of complex commercial, securities and antitrust matters. His extensive IP litigation experience is concentrated on patent infringement in the pharmaceutical industry, with a specific focus on Hatch-Waxman litigation.
Previously, Mr. Hashmall served as the Chairman of Goodwin from 2014 to 2019. Under his leadership, the firm became a global leader, expanding its presence in Europe and Asia. Mr. Hashmall also founded and led the firm’s Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Committee, using his position to promote greater diversity, equity and inclusion within Goodwin and across the broader legal community.
Among his many accolades, Mr. Hashmall was named Hatch-Waxman (Branded) Litigator of the Year by LMG Life Sciences. He has also been repeatedly recognized for excellence by Chambers USA, The Legal 500 United States and Managing IP.
