Global law firm Goodwin announced today that David Sikes joined the firm’s Technology practice as a partner, resident in the Silicon Valley office.

Sikes advises technology and life sciences clients in venture capital transactions, general corporate representation, and mergers and acquisitions. He assists venture capital funds and corporate venture capital arms on financings, primarily involving acquisitions of preferred stock or convertible debt. He also advises and counsels early-stage issuers in the areas of formation and financing.
Sikes has counseled acquirors and sellers in a variety of M&A transactions in private and public contexts, including mergers, tender offers, stock and asset acquisitions, and distressed companies. His corporate governance experience includes '34 Act filings and general corporate advice, and his capital markets experience includes private company equity and debt transactions and public company equity and convertible debt issuances.
Sikes joins Goodwin at a time of continuous momentum for the firm’s Technology practice. In the past two years, the practice has added more than 120 lawyers across the firm’s global offices.
